President Donald Trump will release his first book, a memoir titled “Our Journey Together,” next month, the book’s publisher revealed.
The president has been preparing for the book for months. During the summer, he got divorced from Marla Maples and entered the New York townhouse he once shared with his first wife, Ivana Trump. The former first lady has also been active in putting together a team to work on the publication.
“President Trump is incredibly thoughtful, creative, curious, and committed to getting things done,” said Lynn Marcus, editor in chief of Gallery Books, the publisher of the book. “I admire his commitment to listening to everyone and trying to find solutions, and for that reason I am thrilled to work with him to share this remarkable story.”
Titled after the 1987 Lincoln Memorial address that Trump gave to the National Press Club, “Our Journey Together” will offer “a candid and inspiring look back on his rise to the presidency,” according to the publisher. And, indeed, his emergence from a “room filled with advisers and friends” after saying: “So this is not what you expected,” said BooksOnline, a publication linked to Rizzoli New York, the publisher of the memoir.
